CM4 Nano
Miniaturized Industrial Computer, designed for space-constrained applications with low-power consumption.
The CM4 Nano is an industrial-grade embedded computer that leverages the versatility of the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4) to deliver a compact and powerful computing solution. Designed to address the heat dissipation challenges of the CPU, wireless module, and PMU, this device ensures reliable performance even in the most demanding of industrial environments. It offers a range of RAM configurations from 1GB to 8GB and storage options from 8GB to 32GB eMMC, providing flexibility to suit various application needs. For applications requiring large data storage, the CM4 Nano supports the use of an SD card alongside the eMMC, allowing for cost-effective and scalable data management.
Wireless communication is enhanced with dual-band 2.4/5.8G WiFi and Bluetooth, with the option for external antennas to further boost signal reliability. The CM4 Nano also includes an alarm buzzer and a battery-powered real-time clock, along with a Gigabit Ethernet port that supports the POE function, making it compatible with the official Raspberry Pi PoE HAT.
The device's CSI and DSI interfaces are fully compatible with Raspberry Pi 4 Model B, supporting the official 8M and 12M Pixel HQ cameras and 7" touch display. The standard HDMI interface is capable of outputting 4K HD video, providing a high-quality visual output for various applications.
The CM4 Nano offers two channels of USB 3.0 and one channel of USB 2.0, with the USB 2.0 port designed for system image updates. Its expansion capabilities are robust, supporting a standard Raspberry Pi 40-pin expansion interface and a USB 3.0 Type-C interface for high-speed device expansion.
Powering the CM4 Nano is straightforward with an 8V to 18V DC input, and it provides 5V@2A and 3.3V@1.5A output power through the 40PIN socket, supporting high-power expansion modules. The device's PCB dimensions are 95x58mm, and it is equipped with a 103x62x5mm heatsink for excellent cooling performance, ensuring reliable operation in high-temperature environments. The CM4 Nano has been tested to operate reliably in ambient temperatures ranging from -25 to 60°C.
For easy integration, the CM4 Nano features four M2.5 screw holes on its case bottom, facilitating installation on other equipment, and it also supports DIN rail mounting. The device comes in a metal case with a full side aluminum alloy heatsink and is available in silver and pink colors.
The CM4 Nano is pre-installed with 32-bit Raspberry Pi OS with Desktop and is compatible with the original Raspberry Pi OS, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, as well as Lite and Desktop versions. It also supports online installation and upgrades using the APT tool.
In comparison to the Raspberry Pi 4B, the CM4 Nano offers additional features such as an RTC, a buzzer, and a 4 Pin POE Connector, along with a more extensive temperature range and a full metal case for better heat dissipation. Overall, the CM4 Nano is a compact, powerful, and reliable industrial computer that delivers high-performance computing capabilities in a small form factor.

1. Why do some functions fail after the CM4 Industrail was installed an official system?
We suggest the customers install the system image which provided by us. Otherwise, download our BSP to make some external interfaces work.
2.Whether CM4 Nano can boot in micro SD card?
No, micro SD card only acts as data storage. Operation system shall be installed in eMMC.
3. Do any signals of 40PIN on CM4 Nano have been occupied?
Buzzer has occupies GPIO6. If you don't need to use it, you can remove the resistor R39 to disconnect GPIO6 from the buzzer circuit. SD card occupies GPIO22,23,24,25,26,27.If you don’t use it, please don’t insert the SD card.
