The ED-HMI3020 series represents a high-end human-machine interface (HMI) solution designed for industrial applications, offering advanced computing capabilities and a rich set of connectivity options. At the core of the ED-HMI3020 is a powerful Broadcom BCM2712 CPU, which features a 2.4GHz quad-core 64-bit Arm Cortex-A76 processor, ensuring high performance for demanding tasks. The system is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing for either 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM and storage options ranging from 32GB to 256GB between SD card and SSD.

This HMI series stands out with its dual 4Kp60 HDMI display output capability, perfect for applications requiring high-resolution video. For audio, it includes stereo input and output with separate 3.5mm audio jacks and a built-in speaker, providing clear sound quality. Connectivity is enhanced with a Gigabit ethernet port, four USB ports (two USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0), an RS232 port, an RS485 port, and dedicated audio in and out.

Power to the ED-HMI3020 is supplied through a 5V DC USB-C input, and it includes a physical ON/OFF power button for added control. An optional 8-megapixel front camera can be included for applications requiring video input. The device also features a built-in real-time clock (RTC), supported by a SuperCAP and CR1220 battery backup to ensure the system clock remains accurate even during power loss.

The ED-HMI3020 series is designed to operate in a wide range of temperatures, from -20°C to 60°C, making it suitable for diverse environments. Its aluminum CNC and sheet metal case, combined with a fanless design, not only provides excellent cooling performance but also ensures a long-term, reliable operation.

The series offers two models to choose from, the HMI3020-070C with a 7" LCD and the HMI3020-101C with a 10.1" LCD, both featuring a 16:9 aspect ratio and 16.7 million colors display capability. The touchscreens support 10 points of multi-touch and have a high transmittance rate of 85%, with a surface hardness of 6H.

In terms of software, the ED-HMI3020 can run on various versions of Raspberry Pi OS, including 32-bit and 64-bit Desktop and Lite editions. Electrically, it operates with a 5V DC input and has a maximum power consumption of 25W. Mechanically, the dimensions and weight of the models are compact and suitable for front-mounted installations.

The ED-HMI3020 series also includes wireless capabilities with dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0/BLE, providing flexibility in connectivity without the need for additional wired connections. Lastly, the series meets several international certifications, including FCC and CE, ensuring compliance with a variety of standards and the ability to operate in different regions globally.
