The ED-HMI2120 also features a pair of SMA ports for connecting antennas, either for 4G or Wi-Fi/BT, and a built-in speaker system. Indicators include a reset button, power indicator, 4G signal indicator, system activity indicator, and user-customizable indicator, as well as indicators for UART communication status.
For expansion, the device includes an EEPROM for storage, crypto authentication for security, an RTC with a CR1220 battery backup, and a buzzer for alarms. It also features a hardware Watch Dog based on the RTC alarm function to ensure device reliability.
The expansion I/O includes 12V 1A DC OUT connectors for powering extended LCDs, a 40-pin GPIO header compatible with expansion modules, a 10-pin GPIO pin header for custom functions, an FPC HDMI connector for extended displays, a USB 2.0 connector for additional ports, and an M.2 B key connector for SSDs.
The ED-HMI2120 comes in two display sizes: a 7.0" model (ED-HMI2120-070C) with a resolution of 1024 x 600 and a 10.1" model (ED-HMI2120-101C) with a resolution of 1280x800. Both feature 16.7 million colors, LED backlighting, and a contrast ratio of 800:1 and 1000:1 respectively. The touchscreen is a multi-point capacitive type with a transmittance of ≥85%, supporting up to 10 points of touch and a surface hardness of 6H.
