The ED-IPC2100 is a robust industrial computer designed to meet the demands of various industrial applications. It features a powerful Broadcom BCM2711 CPU with a quad-core Cortex-A72 (ARM v8) 64-bit SoC running at 1.5GHz, ensuring high performance. The system offers flexibility in memory options, with choices ranging from 1GB to 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and storage options that include 8GB to 32GB eMMC, support for micro-SD cards, and the possibility to include an M.2 NVMe SSD for additional storage.

In terms of wireless capabilities, the ED-IPC2100 is equipped with 4G/LTE, dual-band 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz IEEE 802.11b/g/n/ac wireless LAN, and Bluetooth 5.0, providing versatile connectivity options. It also includes a comprehensive set of interfaces, such as one Gigabit Ethernet port, one 100M Ethernet port, an HDMI Type A port, two USB 2.0 ports, one Micro USB port, and multiple RS232 & RS485 ports, enhancing its adaptability in different industrial environments.

Power input is robust, supporting DC 9V to 36V with reverse polarity protection, overvoltage, and overcurrent protection. The system also offers optional Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability and uses a 3.5mm phoenix connector with screw locked for secure connections.

Additional features include a Real-Time Clock (RTC), a hardware watchdog, EEPROM, and crypto authentication for enhanced security and reliability. The ED-IPC2100 also has the option for a supercapacitor backup power supply and an 8 LED indicator system for status monitoring. The device is designed to operate in a wide range of temperatures, from -25°C to 60°C, and its mechanical design, with dimensions of 143mm x 100mm x 35mm and an aluminum heatsink for excellent cooling performance, allows for DIN-rail mounting.

The ED-IPC2100 series offers a selection guide with different models to choose from, such as the IPC2110 with dual RS485 and dual RS232 interfaces, the IPC2120 with audio I/O, microphone, CSI, and DSI interfaces, the IPC2130 with triple RS485 and single RS232, and the IPC2140 with quadruple RS485 and no RS232.

The ED-IPC2100 supports various operating systems, including 32-bit and 64-bit Raspberry Pi OS (Desktop and Lite versions), providing a familiar and versatile software environment. The front I/O includes power input, audio input/output (on the ED-IPC2120 model only), and multiple RS485 and RS232 interfaces depending on the model. Rear I/O includes an SD card slot, a SIM card slot for 4G connectivity, and a Micro USB port for system flashing.

On the side, there's an HDMI port compatible with HDMI 2.1 standard supporting 4K 60Hz, two USB 2.0 ports, and two SMA ports for connecting 4G and Wi-Fi/BT antennas. The ED-IPC2100 also features buttons and indicators, including a reset button, power indicator, 4G signal indicator, system indicator, user-defined indicator, and UART communication status indicators.

For expansion, the ED-IPC2100 offers 12V 1A and 5V 1A DC output connectors for extended LCDs, a 40-Pin GPIO header compatible with Raspberry Pi's CM4, and a 10-Pin GPIO header for custom functions. Optional CSI and DSI interfaces (on the ED-IPC2120 model only) allow for camera and display connections, respectively. There's also a USB 2.0 expansion connector, an M.2 B key connector for SSDs, and a speaker output (on the ED-IPC2120 model only).

The ED-IPC2100 is designed with EEPROM for storage, crypto authentication for security, an RTC for system clock reliability, a buzzer for alarms, and a hardware watchdog for device reliability. It has an input voltage range of 9V to 36V DC and a maximum power consumption of 24W. Mechanically, it is designed for DIN-rail mounting and has a weight of 750g. In terms of wireless capabilities, it offers dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0, with optional 4G LTE connectivity through various modules compatible with different regions.

The ED-IPC2100 operates in a wide temperature range and has low ambient humidity requirements, with multiple certifications including FCC and CE, making it suitable for a broad range of industrial applications.

Front I/O
Power1 x DC IN, 2-Pin 3.5mm pitch phoenix terminals with screw holes.
It supports 9V~36V input, the signal is defined as VIN+/GND.
Audio (optional)1 x Audio In/Stereo Out, 3.5mm audio jack connector. It can be used as MIC IN and LNE OUT.
  • When a headphone is connected, the audio output switches to the headphone.
  • When no headphone is connected, the audio output switches to the speaker.
Note: Only ED-IPC2120 contains this interface.
RS485/23212-Pin 3.5mm pitch phoenix terminals with IO isolator, which are equipped with electrostatic and surge protection.
Different numbers of RS232 and RS485 ports can be selected according to actual application.
The signal of RS485 is defined as IGND/A/B, and the signal of RS232 is defined as IGND/TX/RX.

These pins are defined as GPIO1~GPIO27/3V3/5V2/GND. It is Compatible with expansion modules, and reserves to connect expansion accessories.
10-Pin GPIO1 x GPIO Pin Header, 2x5-Pin 2.54mm pitch, using to lead out the expansion GPIO ports.
User can customize the function according to actual application, these pins are defined as 8xGPIO/3V3/GND.
CSI (optional)1 x Pin Header, 2x15-Pin 0.4mm pitch connector, supporting 2-Lane CSI signal. It can be used to connect 800M CSI camera.
